I have always had a weak spot for sweet product packaging. To me good package design is key, it sets the tone and mood of a product/brand as well as sets the product apart from competitors. It also show consumers that attention to detail is one of the brand’s priorities, after all the bullshit is in the details. Thedieline.com and Lovelypackage.com are two sites to check out daily that highlight the very best in packaging design and ID. Here are a couple of my recent favorites

I’m a seriously huge fan of good color contrast and I think that this hat by Leilow is the perfect example of what I mean.

Yeah I know, the dark/bright contrast is nothing new and not everyone is a fan of it but as far as making a statement and having design pop, there’s no better combination. I’m digging on the design too, minus the crossbones, its fairly detailed yet bold and capable of giving consumers a good feel for the Hawaiian brand.

So I heard about this place in Drexel Hill (a bit outside Philadelphia) that sold old school video games. I finally got around to going today with my brother and my friend and was very happy that I did. I’m actually not a big video game fan but the pure nostalgic value was reason enough to go. The store is called Game N Dvd Exchange and they had all sorts of Old Nintendo games. We ended up getting some sweet Mortal Combat game, the original (I think?) Mario Cart, and the best of all…

I could spend some serious hours playing this game.

What up peeps, this my new blog that I created as a kind of extension of myself to post about my interests in fashion, marketing, underground sub culture, branding, movies, design and other types of sweet stuff.
